MUMBAI: Film maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavat has got the permission of the censor board to release, but the Rajput Karani sena’s protest is not over. On Friday, the Rajput Karni Sena has protested outside the office of the censor board in Mumbai.
In view of Karani Sena’s prior declaration, the police had converted the whole area into the camp, despite strict security arrangements of the police, the army personnel of the Karni sena formed a small group and the gathered outside the censor board office and started shouting. Police came into action and some activists were taken into custody.
Karani Sena and Rajput organizations argue that changing the name of the film will not work, but the film’s release should be fully banned. Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh government have banned the release of the film.
